Orbit

One common Orbit. 20 students. Two years in the making. The infamous SJSU BFA Graphic Design Senior Show for the class of 2021 with a virtual twist.

Exhibition Team

I along with my fellow classmates teamed up into different teams to create the first ever virtual show for our senior year and last semester in the SJSU BFA Graphic Design Program. I was a part of the exhibition team with Janet Altamirano, Kristen Adams, and Kurt Bettencourt. To check out a more detailed look at our journey–check out our class website at orbit2021.com

Orbit Virtual Exhibition

It was truly a team effort and no easy process. Many lessons were learned. Connectedness in a very uncertain and daunting time. Adaptability, resilience, problem solving and collaboration through various teams. Being in the exhibition was challenging, but transformative and worthwhile. I along with my team brought our ideas to life while also learning a new software (Cinema 4D). I leave you now with a glimpse of images and a closer look at my student booth.

When I chose Graphic Design as my major I had absolutely no clue what the path would look like, and despite the unknown—it became the most noteworthy journey in my education. To me, design is creativity with a sense of purpose and intention. I approach design as an aesthetic expression and as a thoughtful approach to visual communication. Wherever my next phase is—I am thrilled that it revolves around design and multiple iced coffees!
