Brand Identity

Cars that Drive Us

Storyline

In this project I created a modern eye catching brand identity for a potential technology conference that would take place at the Computer History Museum in Mountain View, California.

The objective of this project was to create an integrated branding program for a technology conference on the topic of my choice, Autonomous Transportation.

Hypothetically, this technology conference takes place in the future–roughly 20 years from now (2040). I went with a clever yet simple title for the conference, “Cars that Drive Us”.

Initial Poster Sketches

The project began with brainstorming for the look and feel of the Poster which would essentially drive (no pun intended) the cohesive brand program.

Brand Identity

After numerous poster iterations, it was time to lock down the brand identity which consisted of choosing a visual language, color scheme and utilization of typography.

Final Poster

The final poster illustrates a futuristic feel with the use of some playful typography that would then become the staple of this technology conference.

Brand Applications

ID Badge & Tote Bag

Initial Sign Sketches

After locking down the brand identity, it was time to conceputalize a sign that would essentially be “selfie worthy”. After numerous iterations, sketches and physical mockups: I ended up going with a three-dimensional typographic sign made out of semi-reflective steel.

Final Indoor/Outdoor Sign

Used Fusion 360 for the 3D render of this final sign.

Tools: Adobe Illustrator / Adobe Photoshop / Adobe After Effects / Fusion 360

Role: Multidisciplinary Designer

Final Deliverables: Brand Identity, Poster, Animated Poster, Indoor/Outdoor Sign, Tote Bag and ID Badges
